If there's one thing I really love about the American college system it's the opportunity to minor in a subject that isn't my degree. This quarter I've been enjoying life as a bone fide art student and spending a lot of late nights in the basement darkroom. I'll post some of my analogue work here soon, but for now I wanted to share these digital images from last week in the studio. I spent a few hours experimenting with light with my friends Eric and Misha. It's been such a joy to learn alongside other students who are more knowledgable and just as passionate as I am about photography, to have access to all the resources available to art majors, and to collect a whole new skill set for my photographic toolbox. Huge thanks to Misha and Eric who hung around after class to model for me - they were naturals!
(I shot a little on my Minolta too. Here are a few images I developed and printed in the darkroom for class.)
