As soon as Jade and Josh explained what they had in mind for their big day, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Sunny skies, fairground rides, candy floss and a farm on a hill... What a wedding!
I met Jade and her girls at the Recruiting Sergeant in Horstead, where the party were busy putting up their hair and putting on their frocks (including those beautiful hand-made flower girl outfits) before setting off for the registry office. While the legalities were finalised, I headed to Top Farm in Marsham to get a sneak preview of the wedding site... It wasn't long before the couple and their guests arrived, and the fun began! After an afternoon of playing on the fairground, Jade and Josh held a wonderful outdoor ceremony in front of their friends and family. Vows and rings exchanged, the newlyweds and I hopped onto the back of a quadbike (!) and were whisked away to a secluded lake in the surrounding forest for some golden-hour photographs. Back at the party, everyone feasted on a hog roast before the bouquet was thrown and cake was cut. A perfect sunset ended a perfect day.
Many thanks to Clive and the events team at Top Farm for arranging our evening ride through the wilderness, and for steadying the ladder when I just had to get those rooftop sunset shots! The bride was made even more beautiful by HMUA Sacha Brooks, and guests enjoyed evening entertainment by guitarist Laurence Brooks. Finally, enormous thanks and congratulations to the newlyweds who made it all happen. Jade and Josh, you make a dream team, your wedding was the perfect jetlag remedy, and I wish we could do it all over again. Thanks for having me along!
